At a hearing in April at Chippenham Magistrates Court, the defendant, having pleaded guilty to exceeding the speed limit on the M4 by 34 mph, was fined the maximum of £2500 with £35 costs and the defendant's licence was endorsed with 6 penalty points.

At a recent hearing at Chippenham Magistrates Court the defendant, having failed to provide details of the driver of a vehicle detected exceeding the speed limit, as required under Section 172(2) of the Road Traffic Act, 1988 and was fined £600 with £455 costs and the defendant's licence was endorsed with 3 penalty points.

Also at Chippenham in May .... a defendant, having pleaded guilty to exceeding the speed limit on the M4 by 26 mph was fined £2000 with £35 costs accompanied by a licence endorsement of 4 penalty points.
